Tren de la Fresa 1
28th April 2007

Visited Aranjuez on a Saturday evening to see the "Tren de la Fresa" which is scheduled to be steam-hauled whenever possible at weekends. On arrival at the station the train was seen to be in the platform with a preserved electric locomotive 289-015-0, also carrying its old number 8915 and with the RENFE insignia on a cast plate. At the rear of the train was preserved diesel 321-080-4, also carrying its former number 2180. The train left approximately on time just as a Thunderstorm erupted over the town. I have also included pictures of the old signal box and the water crane for filling the steam locomotive when it is operating.
